On February 13, 2009, The Arts Council of Carteret County (ACCC) will present its signature annual event, ART FROM THE HEART, an exhibition and sale of original artwork created by artists from Carteret, Craven, Pamlico and Onslow counties. Art From the Heart 2009 will remain open to the public until Saturday, March 1st .

The location for this year’s show will be the former Carteret News-Times office located at 4034 Arendell Street, Morehead City (across from the Hampton Inn). Admission to the gallery will be free.
As in past years, entry categories will include oils and acrylics; watermedia; photography and computer generated art; glass, fiber arts and three dimensional artwork; pastels and drawings; and mixed media.

A showcase for the talents of local artists, Art from the Heart 2008 was the Arts Council’s most popular and heavily attended event. One hundred and twenty artists participated and over three hundred pieces of original artwork were entered.
